Peacock Feather Inspired Rangoli

This semi circular rangoli with old-school color combination of yellow-red and green-blue is very pleasing to the eyes.

The peacock feather inspired pattern with blue color and shimmer  along with bright yellow and red center design makes it very unique.

The design here is very simple and then in the end completed with traditional sanskar bharti rangoli motifs.

Welcome Rangoli

Welcome the New Year with a nice Suswagatam Rangoli. This is a carpet (galicha) rangoli, with a unique color combination of yellow, purple, green and red.

The red section of rangoli elevate the words welcome written in a leaf like motif.

As per Hindu traditions, Yellow -Red color symbolizes Haldi and Kumkum which are offered to ladies while welcoming or receiving them for a function/pooja.

Contemporary Rangoli Design

Rangolis are always attractive be it traditional or contemporary, made with colors or by flowers.

Above rangoli design is one such example of modern rangoli design. There is isn't any definite design, just there different colors are spread to form a semicircle and then Sun-rays like design in the center.

In my opinion, its a unique blend of tradition and innovation.

This rangoli design is contributed by Aru Mukherjee on SBR's facebook page.
Greak work!!!
